Special Guest Photographer: Danny Aarons Forward By Mark Byrnes
Just go along Annandale’s Parramatta Rd. There’s a maze of guitar shops along with some live music joints. There’s also the Olympia a beautiful Greek sweetshop/milkbar. It’s something of a inner-city landmark seemingly stuck in a time warp. The mirrors ’50s tabletops and 70s retail posters and a most beautiful milk shake counter where the proprietor has served customers for well over 40yrs. Many still bring their children for a milkshake just as they themselves came years before during Oct 2005. The trader allowed me to bring a photographer to do a photo shoot of a new generation of the shops customers. And here they are! Two little girls Ellena and Nicky the photo’s at the shopfront were hilarious having a bit of cheeky fun with passengers at the bus stop.
